
The National Honor Society was organized in 1921 by the National Association for Secondary School for the purpose of recognizing and encouraging academic achievement while developing other characteristics essential to people living in a democratic society. The George Wythe Chapter was organized in 1960 and named for the first principal, the Late Oscar W. Fary. To become a member of our chapter, a student must: 1. Be a Junior or Senior 2. Must have a minimum grade point average (G.P.A) of 3.3 3. Must demonstrate character, leadership, service, and be approved by the entire faculty. With hard work and determination you too can become a member of the National Honor Society. |
