Ms. Davis is having her first year at GWHSOTA.

She brings to her position much experience including work at Longwood College, Ingrid's Dance School, and Washington & Johnson. She currently serves our city as dance specialist with Richmond's Parks and Recreation Department, where she is responsible for instructing all levels of dance technique in tap, jazz, lyric, and hip-hop.

In that position she directs and choreographs the annual dance recital, coordinating staging, costuming, music, and programming.

She implemented and initiated the City Dance Troupe, coordinates regional and national competitions, and executes programs to generate financial and community support for the troupe and program.

Ms. Davis brings credit by way of professional involvement in "Kiss of the Spider Woman", Jazz Master Class Nov. '95, African American Legendary Dance Festival - '96, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company - '99, Rennie Harris Master Classes, and Ron Brown Master Classes, and many regional and national achievements - too many to mention here.

We are sure that Ms. Davis' selection to be our dance teacher at GWHSOTA was an excellent one, and we feel extremely fortunate to have her work with our dance students.
