KEENON B. MOORE has been a member of the George Wythe High School of the Arts Male Ensemble since enrolling at the school in September 1996. As a member of the Ensemble, he has earned many awards and honors. Among these awards and honors are the following: District I Chorus, All-State Chorus (Tenor I - Score 185/200), and ACT-SO (Afro-Academic Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics) Bronze Medal in vocal, classical, and contemporary music.

One of Keenon's proudest accomplishments is to have been a member of the Ensemble when, in the Fiesta-val International Competition held in Toronto, Canada in May 1997, the group won two trophies (All Around Champion and First Place) and a plaque (Superior Performance Rating). At that same competition, Keenon was also a member of the school's award-winning Show Choir. Currently, Keenon serves as president of the Male Ensemble. Ms. Joyce Wooldridge is the director of the Ensemble.

In addition to his involvement in the Male Ensemble, Keenon has participated in the following school organizations: Marching Band (trumpet), Concert Band (French horn), Show Choir, Key Club, and Future Business Leaders of America. Keenon also serves as secretary for the Class of 2000 and is a member of the Prom Committee.

Upon completion of his high school education, Keenon hopes to attend Hampton University or Penn State. His goals are to become a music teacher and one day be able to direct District Chorus.
