Mr. Carlos Pozzi has been teaching guitar to students at GWHSOTA since 1996. During that time, his students have clearly demonstrated the effectiveness of his teaching. Many of them have been featured at concerts throughout the community. Guitar recitals featuring Wythe guitar students are often given at, among other places, The Gelman Room (Richmond Public Library), the 'Concerts at Noon' series (Richmond City Hall), Richmond's Children's Museum, High School Honors Music Institute, and at Richmond Music Teachers Association events.

Mr. Pozzi's guitar graduates have gone on to do outstanding guitar study at Virginia Commonwealth University, James Madison University, William and Mary College, and George Mason University.

Mr. Pozzi has a long standing record with Richmond Public Schools. Before coming to GWHSOTA, he taught guitar at Richmond Community High School, Open High School, Henderson Middle School, and has been a faculty member for RPS's Arts and Humanities Center since 1989.
